Porec is a city in Croatia, on the west coast of the Istria Peninsula. Porec is connected by regular intercity bus service to major Croatian cities, as well as to Italy and Slovenia. The city is connected by coastal highway to the neighboring cities of Rovinj, Pula and Umag, as well as to Rijeka and through it to another part of Croatia.
Porec is a picturesque and popular town located on a small peninsula at the north-west end of a small bay sheltered from the south-west by the island of St. Nicholas. The well preserved old town attracts many tourists to Porec.
There is a marina in Porec where you can keep your yacht while exploring the town. In addition, next to the marina there are mooring buoys for yachts. Also Yachts can be moored at the city's waterfront. There is another small yacht marina a mile south-east of Porec. During the high season all of them are crowded and you have to book berths in advance.
