The large natural Medulinski Gulf extends almost five miles into the inner part of the Istria Peninsula from its southernmost tip. The entrance of Medulin Bay is between Cape Kameniak at the southern tip of the peninsula and Cape Marleroi four miles to the north-east. The gulf contains several small islands, the towns of Medulin and Pomer (the latter with the marina ACI Pomer), and numerous sheltered anchorages.
Medulinski Gulf itself can be a cruising mini water area in which you can happily spend up to a week on a yacht in any weather, with the certainty that you always can find a safe, well sheltered anchorage if the weather conditions suddenly change. Although the bay is very busy with vacationers in July and August, you can usually find a quiet anchorage somewhere in the inner, almost completely enclosed bay, away from the noisy piers and camping areas. In addition, there is no charge for anchorage at the entrance to Medulin.
You can rent charter yacht for a trip on the Medulinski Bay either in the Bay of Pomer, or in one of the marinas in Pula.
