Brijuni archipelago is a group of two small islands and 12 tiny islets on the west coast of Istria, Croatia, three miles north-west of Pula. The islands are separated from the mainland by the narrow Strait of Fazana.
The two largest islands, Veli and Mali Brijuni, can be visited by yacht, but mooring prices are deliberately kept astronomically high to deter all but the wealthiest or most dedicated yachting enthusiasts from visiting the islands.
Nevertheless, despite the exorbitant marina prices in Brijuni, it is worth a visit, because you can hardly find such an ideal Park Complex anywhere else.
