Yacht anchorage off Round Island

Round Island is located at the eastern tip of Praslin Island 1.5 miles east-south-east from Praslin Marina.

The anchorage is located between the coast of Praslin and Round Island. The anchorage can only be accessed from the east. This is a good place to anchored yachts during the winter north-west monsoon season. Anchor at 3-6 meters deep on the sandy bottom.

Navionics charts are not entirely accurate here. The space image clearly shows the passage from the east between the reefs and a catamaran anchored on sand surrounded by coral.
