Yacht anchorage in Volbert Bay

Volbert Bay (Anse Volbert) is located on the north-east coast of Praslin Island.

The yacht anchorage is located at the north-west part of the bay to the west of the palm-fringed islet. This anchorage shelters yachts well during the summer south-east monsoon season and limited during the winter north-west monsoon season. Anchor in depths of 3-6 meters on the sandy bottom. Holding is good.

The bay has a sandy beach, many small hotels, restaurants, a mini-market and a dive center that teaches beginners on the nearby reef. The reef near the shore and east of the islet with palm trees is also interesting for snorkeling.
