Loraie Bay is located in the south-east of Cureuse Island.
There are several buoys in the head of the bay on which you can moor your boat. If the buoys are busy yachts are anchored at a depth of 5-12 meters. The bottom is sandy. Holding is good. The bay is a good shelter for yachts during the winter season of the north-west monsoon. In summer, when the south-east monsoon blows anchorage is possible only in calm weather.
Loraie Bay is part of the Curieuse Marine National Park so there is a fee for mooring at the buoy or at own anchor. You have to pay to go ashore as well.
