In fact there is no bay - just a stretch of shore with a beach. The yachts are anchored at a depth of 5-12 meters. The bottom is sand, coral, seaweed. Anchor will hold well if you can put it on a sandy patch of the bottom. The anchorage is not a shelter for yachts neither in summer nor in winter so you can anchorage here only in stable calm weather.

St. Joseph's Bay is part of the Curieuse Marine National Park, so there is a fee to moor a yacht at the buoy or at its anchor. You'll have to pay to go ashore as well.

The anchorage is in front of the National Park Visitors Center where you can get full information about the Park, tours, and possible hiking routes.
