Praslin Island

Praslin is one of the largest islands of the archipelago. It is located 22 miles north-east of Mahe. The size of Praslin Island is 11 by 4 km. The main attraction of Praslin Island is the park of endemic trees Vale de May where grows in particular the famous palm tree Coco de Mer.

Praslin is the second island in the Seychelles with a yacht marina. Of course it cannot compare in its level with the marinas on Mahe but it does provide the basic services needed by yachtsmen. The marina is located in the large bay of St. Anna in the east of the island. One of the largest bareboat charter companies Dream Yacht Charter in the world is based here. There are several spots on the coast of the island suitable for anchorage of yachts. 

Praslin has a small local airport. Also it has ferry connections with Mahe and other islands of the Seychelles archipelago.
