Sal Rei is located in the northern part of the west coast of the island, next to the small Sal Rei Island.
Yachts usually are anchored in the harbor under the cover of the breakwater at depths of 2-6 meters on the sandy bottom. Holding is good. Good shelter from the dominant north-east winds and waves.
The second option of yacht anchorage is near the southern tip of Sal Ray Island. Anchor is on the sand at a depth of 2-5 meters. Holding is good. About a mile to the port. Possible swell.
There are stores and restaurants in the city.
