In the main sailing area of rented yachts in Thailand, the Andaman Sea and in particular Pang Nga Bay, the winds are rarely strong and the area is mainly influenced by a tropical monsoon climate with two different seasons separated by 2 months between seasons.
- In early November the winds slowly turn northeast.
- The sunniest months are from December to April but November, July and August are also very pleasant.
- Temperatures throughout the year range from 28°C to 35°C. The water temperature ranges from 28°C to 32°C.
- There are no hurricanes in this navigation area and winds rarely exceed the 25 knot mark.

Winds:

- From mid-November to mid-April: Winds from the northeast dominate widely. Wind speeds range from 10 to 15 knots. The sea is calm and the weather is sunny. During April the winds calm down.
- By the middle of April the winds calm down and are replaced by southwesterly winds.
- In May weak winds from the southwest are set in.
- From June to October: winds from the south-east dominate with little cloud cover. The sea is generally calm.

Tides:

Here they are half-day with periods about 6 hours between high and low tide. The tidal range is approximately 3 meters in the spring. In shallow waters such as Pang Nga Bay the tides can create quite a strong current.

Sea:

The swell of the sea is in general moderate and the sea is very rarely stormy.
