Porto Palma. Caprera Island.

Porto Palma piers is located in a rather large bay of the same name in the south of Caprera Island.

Porto Palma is one of the most beautiful bay in the entire Madollena archipelago. The bay is located on the southern tip of Caprera Island. It is sheltered from all winds and waves except southerly, and offers an idyllic mooring in turquoise water on pure white sand.

The best anchorage for yachts is on the east side of the bay at depths of 5-9 meters. There are several mooring buoys for yachts set by National Park.

The bay is home to the Caprera Sailing Center (Centro Velico Caprera (tel. 0789.738529) which is led by Roberto Ferrarese, world and Olympic champion. While here, you can improve your yachting skills at the center's school and also to see the sailing regattas (mostly in Olympic classes) that fill the bay during the summer months.
