The anchorages on the south-west coast of Paxos Island are mostly used by yachts as day anchorages. The prevailing north-westerly winds tend to make most of the coves choppy with waves. At the same time, the south-west coast of the island has many very beautiful rocks and caves, which, if the weather is right, are worth seeing.
Depths at anchorages in the bays are usually more than 10 meters or you have to go close to the shore. The bottom is sand with rocky outcrops and stones.
