Port Gaios is the main port of Paxos island. It is located in the narrow strait between the island of Paxos and the small island of St. Nicholas.

Yachts are moored at the city waterfront. The depths at the waterfront are 2-4 meters. The shelter for yachts here is excellent most of the time, although strong south-easterly winds make the southern part of this waterfront very uncomfortable for yachts.
