Kassiopi is a small resort village located on the north-east coast of the island of Corfu, 36 km from the capital, opposite the coast of Albania. The ancient village of Kassiopi was founded in the 3rd century B.C. at the time of Pyrrhus during the war with Rome. It was a typical Greek fishing village and port.
Today Kassiopi is a picturesque fishing village with a population of about 1200 people and a well-developed infrastructure. There are supermarkets, post office, hospital, bank, a variety of stores and souvenir shops, public swimming pools (including children's) and much more. In the center of the village next to the school is a great playground. In the small harbor you can rent a boat and take a small boat trip anywhere on the island.
