Mandraki harbor is located on the east coast of Rhodes town, 0.5 miles south-east of the northern tip of Rhodes island. It is the historic harbor of Rhodes, which is now used only as a yacht port.
Transit yachts are usually moored to the east breakwater (where the windmills stand) with their stern or bow to the waterfront at own anchor. The anchor is at a depth of 5-7 meters in the middle of the harbor. The bottom is muddy. Holding is good. There is a huge amount of debris on the bottom. The chance of locking the anchor is very high. You can always find a diver in the harbor to loose your anchor. There is also a high probability of crossing the anchor chains of yachts.
The harbor is crowded year-round, and in the summer, if you arrive in the afternoon or later, there's almost no chance of finding a berth.
