Gavrio Harbor is located in the northern part of the south-western coast of Andros Island.
There are a few sites for yachts mooring in Gavrio Harbor.
1 - south waterfront. Yachts are moored with their stern or bow or, if there is enough space, alongside to waterfront. Depths at the waterfront are about 5 meters. Anchor at 6-7 meters depth. The bottom silt and seaweed. Holding is good.
2 - the northern side of the ferry pier. The depth at the end of the pier is about 5 meters, gradually decreasing to a meter at the corner of the pier-waterfront. Mooring conditions for yachts are the same as on the southern waterfront.
3 - anchorage in the northern part of the bay at depths of 3-4 meters.
Gavrio harbor is small. The bay is almost circular, about 500 meters in diameter. When ferries coming and leaving, they create discomfort for all boats, no matter where they are moored.
There are restaurants, bars, stores, tourist offices on the shore.
