Finike Orange Festival

The city of Finike in Antalya province is decorated with beautiful figures and compositions made of oranges as part of the international festival taking place there.

Artisans created in the city from 50 tons of oranges guitar, ship, panda, car, locomotive, building of an ancient theater, the Turkish flag etc.

Local oranges are popular because they have thin skin and a pleasant aroma.

After the close of the festival the oranges from the figures and compositions will get to the plant for the production of fruit juices.

In Finike oranges are grown on an area of three thousand hectares.

18 percent of Turkey's orange crop is grown in Finike. Every year more than 200,000 tons of oranges are harvested in the Finike region.
