Firnaz Bay is located in the north-west corner of the large Kalkan Bay two miles west of Kalkan Fishport. On the Navionics maps the bay is called Yesilkoey.
Yachts can anchored anywhere in the bay where the length of your anchor chain allows. However the western shallowest part of the bay is the most convenient. The bottom is sandy. Holding is good but you need be sure that anchor is buried in the sand. When you have anchorage near the south-west shore it is good to have lines from stern to shore. Shelter is good in all winds except south-easterly. At night there can be quite strong gusts from the west.
The cove is wild - there are no traces of human activity on the shores, but many yachts and gulets visited it. The water is clean. The most interesting snorkeling at the south-western shore of the bay. Turtles are encountered.
