Santa Agate Harbor lies on the north coast of Sicily 50 miles west of Cape Peloro, the north-eastern tip of Sicily Island. Santa Agate was primarily built as a base for hydrofoils serving the Aeolian Islands.
The port of Santa Agata di Militello is currently being reconstructed. An eastern breakwater was built, making the port well sheltered. The depths in the port are up to 7 meters. A modern yacht marina is planned to be built in the harbor. Before the reconstruction there was a small marina, where several charter companies were based. For the time being, the harbor is used mainly by local pleasure and fishing boats. Yachts can be anchored in the port by requesting permission from the Coast Guard via VHF on channel 16.
