The Port of Ischia (Porto D'Ischia), the main harbor of the island, is a natural bay with a narrow entrance protected by breakwaters is located in the north-east of the island.
Yacht skippers should be careful on approach to avoid additional, isolated breakwaters, which are unlit and located to the east and west of the harbor entrance. Depths at the entrance are 5.0 to 6.0 meters and at the mooring berths 2.0 to 4.0 meters. The shelter for yachts in the harbor is excellent. The harbor offers a total of 200 berths for yachts. The maximum length of yachts is 50 meters. Yachts moor to one of four pontoons on the east side of the harbor. Moorings, water and electricity are available at all berths. There are toilets and showers. Fuel is available on the waterfront in the north-west corner of the harbor. The harbor is usually filled to capacity during the high season, and yachts often have to sail to the Cartaromana anchorage 1.5 miles to the south-east.
