The small fishing port of Agia Pelagia is located on the east coast of Kythira, four miles to south-south-east of the northern tip of the island.
In the fishport of Agia Pelagia yachts can be moored at the north end of the breakwater, which stretches from south to north for about 100 meters. The depth at the northern end of the breakwater is about four meters. In the winds of the north directions, the port is not suitable for the mooring of yachts. In the south winds or in calm weather it is a nice calm place with a couple of taverns and a mini market on the shore. Tourists are attracted here by the nice sandy beach.
