Port and yacht marina Naxos

Naxos Port, the only commercial port on the island, is located in the middle of the west coast opposite Paros. The entrance to the harbor can be easily identified by the visible breakwaters and ferries that come and go almost continuously. The yacht marina is on the right side of the commercial port.

The commercial harbor of Naxos is not the best place to mooring a yacht. It is very noisy and always crowded with local yachts and fishing boats. In addition, the ferries that are constantly moored create unpleasant waves. So it is recommended for yachts to use the marina mooring. The outer side of the south pier is for transit yachts. Mooring the yacht to it stern or bow on its own anchor.  There is a chain 30 meters from the south pier. This should be kept in mind when anchoring. There is water and electricity on the piers and the waterfront. You can reserve a place to moor your boat by phone.

Also it is possible to be anchored under the shelter of the northern breakwater of the port. But remember that along the breakwater there is an underwater cable (see map).

There are many bars, cafes, restaurants. Supermarket is lpcated at 300-400 meters east of the marina. There is an opportunity to exchange gas bottles. Twice a day comes a mini tanker with diesel fuel.
