Yacht anchorage in Alymia Bay

Alimia Bay is located on the southern coast of Iraklia at the western tip of the island.

Yachts can be anchored all around the bay at depths of 3-15 meters. The bottom is sand and seaweed. Holding is good on the sand. The bay shelters yachts well from Meltemi.

In the north-eastern part of the bay at a depth of 8 meters lies a German airplane from World War 2. The spot is marked by a small red buoy.
