The port of Katapola provides a good shelter from Meltemi. Yachts moor to the south waterfront (leaving the ferry pier free) with their stern or bow at their own anchor. Depths at the waterfront are 3-6 meters. The bottom is mostly sand with stones and seaweed. Holding is good.

As an alternative to mooring your yacht at the waterfront, you can be anchored near the sandy beach at the north end of the bay.

In addition, there is a good shelter in the bay north-west of the port. Anchor at a depth of 5-15 meters. Holding is good. You can easily access Katapola by dinghy from here.
