Kuklice harbor is located in a well-sheltered bay in the southern part of the north-eastern coast of Ugljan Island, just over a mile north-west of Mali Zdrelac Strait between Ugljan and Pasman islands.
Kuklice harbor, built in a natural bay, is sheltered from all winds, except the strong south-east winds. The southern side of the harbor is reserved for the fishing fleet. The other part of the harbor has several piers dedicated to yachts. In total, in Kuklice harbor can be moored about a hundred yachts.
There are three main choices for mooring yachts in the port of Kuklice:
1 - North-West Pier.
At the north-west end of the harbor directly across from the entrance is a long concrete pier for about 20 yachts. Depths at the pier range from just under 2.0 meters at the waterfront to 3.5 meters at the end of the pier. Water and electricity are available. Costs (2016): 25 kuna per meter. These piers are usually used by transit yachts. A passenger ferry approaches the end of this pier.
2 - North-East waterfront.
There are three concrete piers at the north-east end of the harbor that can accommodate about 50-60 yachts. They are usually reserved for local yachts, but transit yachts can take up berths on the outside of the pier farthest from the waterfront. All piers have mooring lines. There is water and electricity. Toilets and showers are at the root of the pier.
3 - North breakwater.
If both piers are full, yachts can be moored by bow or stern to the inside of the north breakwater with their own anchor. The depths here are 2.5 - 3.0 meters. Holding is good in the sand and seaweed. There is no water or electricity on the breakwater.
There is a fairly large resort town on the shore with many bars, restaurants and stores.
