Tribunj

Tibunj town is located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, six miles north-west of Sibenik and just over a mile west of Vodice. Like many towns along this part of the coast, Tibunj was built on a narrow and easily defended peninsula in the 16th century for protection from Turkish invasions. At first, the town was enclosed by a wall and connected to the mainland by a narrow stone bridge.

The town always was an important fishing center, but gradually it transformed into a tourist center. The opening of the Tribunj marina in 2004 helped make the town a center for tourism. Tribunj Marina offers 220 berths for yachts up to 25.0 meters in depth up to 4.0 meters.
