Tijat Island

The small island of Tijat is located off the mainland coast of Croatia, four miles west of the port of Sibenik. The islands of Prvic and Zmajan lie immediately to the east and south, respectively. The total area of Tijat is just over a square mile, and the island is uninhabited, except for a summer influx of yachtsmen using the sheltered anchorage at Uvala Tijascica on the south side of the island, which is sheltered from all winds except the south and south-east.
