On the Caribbean coast to east of Trinidad are two large gulfs, Bahia de Casilda and Bahia de San Pedro, with many small coral islands. Coast of the island of Cuba here is indented, marshy and covered with mangroves, the sea is shallow. Navigation is difficult because of the endless coral reefs, scattered throughout the area. However, the beauty of the islands and the richness of the underwater world more than compensate for the difficulties that skippers and crews have.
