Karaloz Bay is located almost in the middle of the south-eastern side of Kekova Island.
The low-visibility entrance to the bay is a mile and a half south-east of the eastern end of Kekova Island. Good depths at the entrance and a closed anchorage in the south corner of the bay at 6-10 meters depth with a lines to shore. On the bottom sand and seaweed. Holding is good. A good all-round shelter for yachts.
This miniature fjord is a grand and wild place. The scenery around it is rugged, with scant poppies on the rocky slopes. The water is crystal clear and fishing in the surrounding area is good. Unfortunately, Karaloz Bay has become popular with tour gulets whose skippers believe that loud music and generator noise are the norm in the few remaining wild coves on the Turkish coast. The only consolation is that by evening the gulets are leaving.
