The Phlegraean Islands (Isole Flegree) are an archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea near the western border of the Gulf of Naples. The island of Capri, although located in the Gulf of Naples, but It does not belong to this archipelago, as it does not belong to the corresponding geological area. The Phlegraean Islands were formerly called Pizekuzi, which means “islands of monkeys” in Greek. All islands of the Phlegraean archipelago are of volcanic origin.

For yachting trips the Phlegra Islands as an independent region are not of interest. Usually they are part of the route passing through the islands of Ponza and the Gulf of Naples.

From the point of view of yachting, the Phlegraean archipelago is of interest primarily for leisurely family trips in high season, when you can not only enjoy the unique sights, of which there are many, but also have a good swim in the warm clear sea. Strong winds are extremely rare in summer and the probability of calm is high.
