Yacht anchorage in Abra Bay

Abra Bay (Enseada da Abra) is located on the east of the south-western coast of Madeira.

Yachts anchor in the northern part of the bay at a depth of 7-12 meters. The bottom is sandy. Holding is good. Be careful when entering the bay, becouse almost in the middle of the bay there are fish tank of farm.

The bay protects yachts well from the prevailing north-easterly winds, but there are strong gusts from the cliff even when the sea wind is moderate.

There are no structures on the shores.
