Unlike the other islands of the Canary archipelago, Lanzarote has quite a lot of anchorages where yachts can stay safely overnight. They are located mainly on the south coast of Lanzarote, where yachts are sheltered from northeasterly winds by the island itself and at the northern tip of the island. Also yachts can be anchored off the south coast of the small island of Graciosa (Isla de Graciosa), separated from Lanzarote by a strait less than a mile wide. The other anchorages off Lanzarote are Bahia de Arrecife, Guacimeta, Isla de Alegranza, Playas de Papagayo, Playa Quemada. Lanzarote has several marinas and harbors that also offer overnight mooring. The main marina on Lanzarote is the Rubicon marina. Other marinas and ports: Arrecife, Playa Blanca, Puerto Calero, Puerto Carmen.
