Marmaris

Marmaris is the yacht capital of Turkey. There are several yacht marinas in Marmaris the largest of which is Netsel Marina. It is base port for many charter companies that offering crewed and bareboat yachts for rent.

Marmaris is also famous amongst yachtsmen for the popular Marmaris International Race Week which runs annually in the first week of November. The regatta is popular, in particular, because it is possible to participate in it with yachts rented from charter companies.

The history of Marmaris is thousands of years old, but today it is a large resort town, although it still has historical and cultural attractions worth seeing.
