Remember the Tyrrhenian Sea (in the north) is quite cool: 17° - 20°C (May-June, September) with a maximum warming up to 24°C in August; the Mediterranean Sea (in the south) is not much warmer: both in the north and in the south, underwater currents make themselves felt.
Two winds are important for yachting vacations: the Sirocco wind from the Sahara and the strong westerly Mistral wind. In the south, circulating winds prevail, and on the east coast, southerly and south-easterly winds prevail.
Sardinia's subtropical, Mediterranean climate is extremely mild. It is mainly influenced by Atlantic, African and Arctic winds. You can enjoy the sun about 300 days a year. Rains occasionally occur in winter and autumn, with rainfall ranging from 600 mm on the plains, to 1000 mm in the mountains.
The average daily temperature in July is 23.9°C, in January - 11.1°C. The water off the coast of Sardinia warms up to 23-25°C in the summer months, although the bathing season on the island begins in May and ends in November. The warmest months are July and August. The island never experiences unrelenting heat, with light breezes blowing from the sea.
