Salina Island of the Lipari Archipelago

Salina is the second largest island in the Lipari archipelago after Lipari Island and is formed by the two extinct volcanoes Fossa delle Felci (968 m) and Monte dei Porri (860 m), which give it its characteristic shape.

The closest inhabited islands to Salina are Lipari 2 miles to the north, Panaria 9 miles to the east and Filicudi 9 miles to the west.

As on all the islands of the Lipari archipelago on Salina, the inhabitants grow grapes and capers and cater to tourists.

Yacht berthing at the piers on Salina is only possible at Darsena Turistica Marina and the commercial port of Santa Marina, which are located close together in the middle of the east coast of the island. There are no natural closed bays suitable for yachts on the island. However, in some places it is possible to moor yachts on the windward side of the island.
