The Gulf of Paradise (Golfo Paradiso) is located on the Ligurian coast of Italy, 9 miles east-southeast of the entrance to the port of Genoa.
Mooring buoys are set along the eastern coast of the bay near the Portofino peninsula. Yachts in this part of the bay are well protected only from easterly and north-easterly winds and waves.
The western coast of the Portofino Peninsula is part of the Portofino National Park. The adjacent sea area is also subject to the rules of the National Park. Therefore, if you plan to be anchored here, rather than using mooring buoys, carefully read the current restrictions on the official website Portofino National Park or contact the park office in Santa Margarita.
There are many trails through the National Park that you can follow as you are coming ashore.
