Three small islets, Ile Platte, Ile Aux Cocos, Ile La Fouche, under the common name Cocos Islands, are located about half a mile north-west of Felicite Island. It is one of the best spot for snorkeling in the Seychelles, so almost all travelers on yachts want to get here. Snorkeling on Cocos is on a coral reef at shallow in the clearest of waters. You can see the bizarre corals of different shapes and colors, a variety of fish - from small coral fish long as half a pinky to a meter and a half sharks.
Anchorage in 8-12 meters on the sand. Holding is good. Staying overnight is not recommended as the anchorage is completely open. Single mooring buoy on the west end.
The underwater life in this spot is impressive in density and variety and includes shoals of powder blue tangs, hawksbill sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, parrotfish, blue damselfish, and hundreds of sea goldies. The coral is in variable conditions, with some areas of healthy coral and some others covered with dead coral debris.
Now here is a marine park with entrance fee of 200 SCR per person (12+ years of age) and 250 SCR anchoring fee (as of May 2023).
