Yachts off Graciosa Island

The island of Graciosa is located at the northern tip of the Lanzarote island and is separated from it by the half-mile-wide El Rio Channel. Graciosa is only one inhabited island of the Chinijo archipelago (meaning small), which also includes the islands of Alegranza and Montana Clara and the two cliffs of Roque del Oueste and Roque del Este. The island of Graciosa is a biosphere reserve and at the same time is part of the marine reserve of the Chinijo archipelago. There are only two settlements on the island.

The island's capital, Caleta de Cebo, has a small harbor where yachts can moored at the pontoons. In addition, between Caleta de Cebo and the western end of the island, there are three bays where yachts can be anchored after obtaining permission from the authorities.

Requests for permission to anchor yachts can be submitted directly to the town hall of La Graciosa, which will easily grant it for a few days. It is forbidden to go ashore and to catch fish - you must also request permission, and this time from Lanzarote via the internet, at least 10 days before disembarking on the island.
