Argintario - Gulf of Naples

The Tyrrhenian coast of Italy between Argintario and the Gulf of Naples is about 180 miles of smooth coastline without bays, anchorages or natural shelters for yachts. That said, there are enough marinas and fishports that you can travel by yacht along the coast without overnight crossings. The shores are low and mostly with sandy beaches, against which it is possible to be anchored in shallow depths in calm weather.

On this part of the Tyrrhenian coast is the capital of Italy - Rome (about 25 km inland). To visit Rome, you can keep your yacht in the yacht marina Porto Turistico di Roma, located near the estuary of the Tiber River, 10 minutes by car from Fiumicino International Airport.

Besides Rome, on the coast it is interesting to visit Civitavecchia, Anzio, Formio.

Opposite the coast about twenty miles from the coast stretches a ridge of islands Ponza and Flegrene Islands. These are very beautiful and popular among yachtsmen. For a trip to these islands you can rent a yacht in Naples or Nettuno.
