The port of Lampedusa is located on the south coast 1.6 miles off the south-eastern tip of the Italian island of Lampedusa.
The port of Lampedusa is located in a small natural shallow enclosed bay. The northern part of the bay, where most of the pontoons and the ferry pier are located, is additionally protected by a 100 meter long western breakwater and a rather short eastern breakwater. They protect the port from waves coming in with southerly winds. Depths at the entrance to the port are about 4 meters, at the pontoons 1.0-3.5 meters. Also yachts can be anchored in the center of the harbor on their own anchors.
The harbor is always crowded with local commercial vessels and fishing boats, so finding a place for a yacht even in low season is quite a problem.
Just to the left before entering the harbor is the small bay of Cala Guitgia, where yachts can be anchored in depths of 3-6 meters.
