The cruise port of Savona is located in the town of the same name, 19 miles west-south-west of Genoa.
There are two places where yachts can be moored in the port of Savona:
1- in the marina of Darsena Vecchia, meaning "Old Dock", which is located in the southwest corner of the port.
The marina has 300 berths on floating pontoons and surrounding waterfronts. The maximum allowable length of yachts is 16 meters. Depths in the marina are from 1.0 to 8.0 meters. Mooring lines are laid at all berths. Shelter for yachts is excellent. There is water and electricity. At the entrance to the marina there is a drawbridge that opens every half hour from 8:00 to 21:00.
2 - at the Miramare piers (Molo Miramare), that is located 600 meters north-west of the Darsena Vecchio marina. The piers here are reserved for members of the Italian Navy League (Lega Navale), but you may be allowed to moor here if space is available. Depths at the piers are 5 -6 meters. The shelter for yachts is good, but there is always a wave from passing ships. There is water and electricity. There is a 200 ton travel lift and the possibility of maintenance and repair of yachts (engines, sails, electrics and electronics, wooden, plastic, steel hulls).
