Comacchio

Comacchio - is a town and comune in the Emilia-Romagna Region, Italy, in the Province of Ferrara, 48 kilometers (30 miles) from the administrative center of Ferrara Province. Comacchio is located in a lagoon to the north of the present estuary of the Reno River. It is built on more than thirteen different islets connected by bridges.

Comacchio and its promenade Lidi are a center of tourism. The town is famous in Italy for its practice of eel fishing in the nearby wetlands, and many of the dishes served in Comacchio are cooked with eel.

There are several yacht marinas near Comacchio where you can keep your yacht and explore the town.
