Fethiye City

Fethiye is a resort city and one of the yachting centers in south-west of Turkey. The city is located at the foot of mountains covered with pine and cedar forests. Dalaman International Airport is 40 kilometers away from the city. In Fethiye is about 285 sunny days per year. The swimming season starts at the end of March and lasts until the end of November.

The Greece city of Telmessos is the ancient story of Fethiye, known as the prophecy center dedicated to Apollo. Telmessos was connected economically with Greece's Rhodes and was part of the Athenian-controlled Union of Delos in the 5th century BC.

For yachtsmen, Fethiye is also notable for the fact that several charter companies are based in Ece Marina. In addition, Fethiye is quite convenient to get to during low season.
