Riccione is a comune (municipality) in the province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, northern Italy. Riccione is located in the center of the Rio Melo, a small river flowing into the Adriatic Sea. In the decades following the construction of the Bologna-Ancona railroad in 1861, Riccione grew considerably thanks to the development of tourism and the construction of elegant liberti style villas. It became independent from the municipality of Rimini in 1922, and became even more popular after the Mussolini family bought a seaside villa for their summer vacation.

Riccione has a small yacht marina.
