Bari

Bari is the capital of the Apulia region, on the Adriatic coast, in southern Italy. It is the first important economic center of mainland Southern Italy. It is a port and university city, as well as the city of St. Nicholas.

Bari is an important transportation hub in Italy. Bari has an international airport. Bari is connected by railway to many cities in Italy. Ferries connect Bari with other Italian ports and also with Greece, Croatia, and Montenegro.

Bari consists of four different urban areas. In the north is the closely built old town on a peninsula between two modern harbors, with the Basilica of St. Nicholas, the Cathedral of San Sabino (1035-1171), and the Norman Swabian Castle, which is now also a major nightlife district.

Bari has several marinas where you can keep your yacht and explore the city.
